A vase holding mostly white flowers sits on a floral-patterned cloth in this vertical still life painting. The ice-blue vase has a narrow foot, tall, slightly tapering sides, round shoulders, and a long neck flanked by handles. An ivory-white circle at the center could be a flower painted on the body. The flowers the vase holds are all pearl and snow white except for two golden yellow flowers and dark greenery. The cloth on which the vase sits is patterned with muted red and dark yellow flowers with green leaves against parchment white and earth brown. A few brown lines cutting across the bottom left corner of the painting could be the edge of a wooden table. Just behind the flowers, a cloth or curtain patterned with dark yellow, moss green, and spruce blue hangs against a teal-green wall, visible along each side of the composition. The objects are loosely painted and outlined with cobalt blue.

Shown from the knees up, a nearly nude, young woman with pale pink skin stands with her hands on her upswept, chestnut-brown hair in front of a pile of cloth, probably clothing, in this vertical painting. Blended brushstrokes give the painting a soft, almost blurred look. She stands with her body angled slightly to our left and her head tipped forward under her hands, which work in her hair. Her cheeks are flushed and her wide, pink lips are closed. Her round breasts are firm, and a piece of bright white fabric is bunched around her upper thighs below a smooth pubic area. Garments in the pile of fabric behind her are petal pink, vivid white, ruby red, and buttercup yellow. The area behind and around the woman and fabric is loosely painted with sage green, caramel brown, and golden yellow. Touches of yellow on a field of green to our right suggest grass and flowers. The artist signed the work with dark paint in the lower right corner: “Renoir.”

Shown from the chest up, a young boy wearing an aquamarine-blue jacket sits facing us in this vertical portrait painting. His body is slightly angled to our right and he looks just over our right shoulder. He has close-cropped, dark hair. His features and clothing are painted in patchworks of colors. For example, his pale face is painted with swipes of peach, straw yellow, stone blue, and olive green, especially around his large, dark eyes and small, cherry-red mouth. The scarf knotted around his neck is painted with daubs of light and azure blue, teal, putty gray, and white. His voluminous jacket has touches of red, blue, and lighter shades of green. He sits in a corner with walls washed with shades of aqua and turquoise. The rail of a brown chair curves behind his right shoulder, on our left, and is cut off by the left edge of the canvas. A cluster of darker green, leaf-like shapes suggest a design on the wall to our right.

A nude woman with long blond hair stands in front of a landscape in this vertical painting. Brushstrokes are visible and textured throughout so details are loosely painted and indistinct. The woman’s body is painted in shades of pale and shell pink, and a few strokes suggest an arm wrapped across her middle and two legs. Next to her, in the lower left corner of the canvas, is an area painted thickly with white and blue brushstrokes. Behind the woman, there appears to be a light blue body of water. Soft horizontal green and red strokes just above it may represent land, merging with a light blue horizon. On the right of the canvas, bright yellow dashes suggest flowers. The artist signed the lower right corner with a cursive “R.”

This painting shows a close-up side profile of a young woman facing the right, showing her from the chest up. The woman has a fair complexion, rosy cheeks, and light pink lips. She has red hair styled up in a bun, with short bangs framing her face. She wears a white short-sleeved shirt or dress which hangs off her shoulders, with a hint of dark blue on her chest. The background is an abstract blend of greens, blues, yellows, and oranges without clear objects or scenery. The brushstrokes in the painting are light and feathery, especially those in the background.
