Artist, American, 1836 - 1910

This painting shows a seascape with brown and gray rocks across the bottom, partially submerged in the water. The sky is gray and the dark blue sea is turbulent, with waves crashing up against the rocks in a spray of white and light blue-green. The colors are soft and blend into one another.
