Painter, Belgian, 1862 - 1926

This painting depicts the upper body of a young person in profile, facing left. The person has pale skin, a long nose, thin pink lips, pale eyebrows, and green-brown eyes surrounded by pale purple lids. The individual has long, wavy hair that curls around their shoulders in a mix of brown, yellow, green, and dark blue shades, with shadows of purple and rusty red. They wear a dark green garment with a white and light blue collar. The paint has been applied in small, overlapping oval dots of different colors. The background is a mix of dark purple and blue, with highlights in a light orange color and hot pink near the bottom left corner. Two vertical tan and blue lines run down behind the person's head, suggesting paneling.
