Painter, American, 1829 - 1905

This painting is a still life composition with two peaches, a bunch of green grapes, and a glass of clear water on a wooden surface. The peaches are on the left and right side, the grapes are in the middle, and the glass of water is in the center and slightly towards the back. The peaches are painted in shades of pale yellow and orange, with hints of deep red, while the grapes are pale green with some hints of yellow or rose-pink tones. The clear glass and water in it are painted in shades of light gray with white reflections of light. The brown surface at the bottom of the painting reflects the colors of the fruit. The wall behind them is a light brownish-gray color.
