This print shows a man from the waist up, his body turned to the left and his head facing us, with his bent arm resting on a ledge or low wall. The man has pale skin, long, curly hair, and a curving mustache with a pointed beard. He wears a soft hat on his head at an angle, and he is dressed in a textured robe with decorative patterns. The man has a furrowed brow and a neutral expression. The background is plain, and the print is signed "Rembrandt 1639" at the top left.
